A superstar of the 1950’s exotica scene, Yma Sumac descended from the high Andes to seduce Hollywood (and eventually the world) with her spellbinding glamour and mighty five-octave vocal range. Though Sumac passed away in 2008, lounge lizards and retro thrill-seekers (especially burlesque and drag performers) have kept her music and her memory as hot as ever. Munch on Peruvian snacks as you join us on an expedition through rare video clips of Sumac’s film and television appearances. Hosted by Tom Blunt.

Featuring:

• Live interview with Sumac’s assistant, webmaster, and makeup artist Damon Devine

• Presentation by Kevin Geeks Out host Kevin Maher

• Performance by renowned Sumac impersonator Perfidia
