Hello, friends of Meet The Lady! Our July 18th show will be a major turning point in our event series: we’ve been promoted from 92YTribeca’s screening room to their spacious mainstage area. I chose Burlesque as a theme so that we could really stretch our legs (and everything else) in the new space.

Since we have a LOT more tickets to sell than usual, I’m going to need your help. We want this to be the kind of large, memorable, entertaining evening that sets the standard for our run on the mainstage. Please share this post, share the link to our ticket page, do what you can to gather the uninitiated unto us — I’ll handle the conversion part myself. For  a mere $12 on a Wednesday night in the dead of summertime, it shouldn’t be too hard a sell. Since we’re on the mainstage, we can have a proper after-party with an actual bar.

• Phone Q&A with film actress Beth Grant (Donnie Darko, Little Miss Sunshine)
• Presentations by singer/songwriter Jill Sobule and Gypsy Rose Lee biographer Karen Abbott
• Hot performances by Iris Explosion, Go-Go Harder, Fem Appeal and Miss Rose! Introducing stage-kitten Ariel Italic
• Raffle prizes donated by Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, the Pleasure Chest, and artist Molly Crabapple
• After-party with DJ Accident Report (and the Warm Leatherettes)
